We are delighted you are interested in learning more about Marist Brothers International School (MBIS).
At MBIS we are committed to nurturing each student to attain his or her full potential. In pursuit of this, we offer a balanced combination of school and family involvement. We focus on the development of the whole child and give our students the individual care and attention they need to be successful and to flourish.
Academically, we offer a challenging American-style curriculum based on the State of California curriculum with both international and multicultural elements. Our program covers ages 3-5 (Montessori), Grades 1-6 (Elementary), and Grades 7-12 (Upper School). All classes are taught in English. Japanese is taught from Montessori to Grade 6. Students from Grade 7-12 may elect to learn either Japanese or French. A unique feature of MBIS is its strong emphasis on spiritual values, coupled with the care and concern actively demonstrated among staff and students. Daily assemblies encourage students in this area of their personal growth.
The quality of our academic and extra-curricular programs resides in the range and depth of study of our offerings, and in the personal and professional strength and commitment of our faculty. MBIS is proud of its strong sense of community and its students’ excellent achievements.
The goal of the admissions process is to ease your child’s entry into MBIS at the appropriate stage between Pre-kindergarten (Montessori) and Grade 12 and to welcome the whole family into the MBIS learning community. We strongly believe that family involvement begins at the admissions stage.
We greatly appreciate your interest in our school and invite you to visit our campus and gain an understanding of what makes MBIS such a special place.
In the meantime, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We look forward to welcoming you to MBIS!
